8:22 pm 0 Comments
I tried to search in Google if there’s a website that will allow us to make money through watching free videos online and I bumped into this one. The site name is GitCoin. You will earn points by watching videos but not only that but there’s a lot of option in earning points.

In my part, I just focused on the videos. I tested the site for a few hours for about five days. I accumulated about 514,000 points with the equivalent of $5.15. It is not bad at all. Just now, March 20, 2017 I tried to withdraw the points towards my Paypal.

I received the money in an instant I’m like wow, that is really fast. The amount I received is $4.90 US. If you are interested to join with me please click the link below.

My Ideal Arts Classroom

9:26 pm 0 Comments

My ideal art room may have some characteristics that are different from the regular classroom. One important thing I may consider first is the four corner wall since this is the foundation for all learning activity. What I mean for this is the painting and accommodation; it should be comfortable, calm and inviting for children to enjoy and have fun while staying and learning in my art room. On the first wall, there will be a display art gallery of their finished product, so that it is easy for them to review and discuss their works. Aside from that, there will be also a display cabinet on the second wall, this will be for the architectural-sculptural artworks and it should be near the windows facing to the hallways where teachers and other students can see the display. My third wall will be the storage and lockers where I can store all my valuable things, arts stuff and or any materials involving arts and crafts. On the last wall, will be my smart board and some electrical outlets. Talking about storage, there will be a lot of shelves and drying racks. Includes with these are deep and wider drawer for large paper and posters if any. In my art room, every inch of space is considered valuable.

Lighting is a must in arts room. There will be lights on the middle of the room and if there is natural light coming from the window, curtains will be applied if necessary. Direct and zoned lighting is important so these options will be present in my ideal art room. Students will be comfortable putting their creative imagination into real piece of arts if light is very compelling.

Sink is also vital in arts room. This is where the students do their cleaning, like washing arts tools and hand. The location will be beside the corner of working counter space, it is large and resistant of acid or any chemicals. So much for that, I consider also the flooring that it is sealed and not carpeted. It is easy for the students to clean up the mess. In addition, there will be an exhausted fan to suck up dust or any undesirable odors or particles to make the atmosphere clean and breathe safely. Also cupboards, working counters are present, those will be located below the hanging work displays and beside the smart board.

All my art supply will be non-toxic, it is expensive but it is worthy to make sure that all students are safe. I even consider introducing a recycled product, in this way, we can save money and help the environment. Like, paper bag, cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, etc. can be useful in making arts.

What a Coincidence?

8:48 pm 0 Comments
My due date for giving birth to my third child will supposedly on September 11, however, due to some complications during my pregnancy the doctor decided to take the baby out before this date and that was last month of August the 11th. My baby is now a month old.
I was not really hoping to have my baby born at this date because this was the date of my father’s death. I was really hoping that my baby will be born after this date but to save the life of my baby I left with no choice.

Is it really a coincidence? When I knew that I am pregnant early this year, I spoke to my husband and told him “What if the baby will be born the same date as my father passed away?” Until now, I am still mourning for his death, maybe somehow, our Heavenly Father finds a way to fulfill the gaps of my happiness as of this moment? I really don’t know. My husband told me that my thoughts was impossible so I just leave it hanging and said to myself. I am just thinking too much and worried.

The periods of my pregnancy went well until the month of July. The gestational diabetes went bad and so the condition of the baby inside. I never had an ultrasound this much until the month of July which was done every 48 hours after nurses monitored the baby’s heartbeat. I was so worried for everything but left everything to God’s hand, whatever happens, there’s a reason for it. I never forget the gesture of the doctor three days before the 11th of August, while doing the ultrasound. She tried to smile at me and spoke calmly about the situation of my baby. She did not really pointed-out that C section within 24 to 48 hours will be done depending on the changes of the condition inside. But when I went to see the doctor for diabetes he said that my C-section will be on the 11th of August thus he gave me instructions on how to prepare myself, this involved of how much dosage I had to take of the insulin the night before the operation.

After two days which was August 11, 2013 I went back to the hospital for monitor and ultrasound. It was so devastating when I heard the baby’s heartbeats stopped every minute. I started to cry and panicked, same views when the doctor did the ultrasound right after the heartbeat monitor. The baby didn’t move at all. What we heard was just hiccups and that wasn’t counted as movement. Right at that moment, the doctor decided for the emergency C-section. The operation lasted for almost 5 hours. The doctor confirmed that was the most difficult operation she ever had.

Until now, I still can’t imagine how coincidence was my thought of having my baby born same date as my father’s death? Frankly speaking, I have mix emotions sad and happiness at the same time, thinking and of course celebrating two different events in one.

MOMMY Nursery Rhyme felt story

5:09 pm 0 Comments
This felt story is one of my final project during my last semester in Early Childhood Education at TAV College. It is also one of my favorite.

I got this idea on one of the blog when I search for a unique nursery rhyme. I really like the idea that she uses MOMMY in replace of "BINGO". Therefore, it came into my mind, to make a nice felt stories about mommy in the tune of "Bingo" dedicated to all mommies around the world especially to my Nanay (mother).

It is really a cute idea that can be use in teaching early childhood education during the celebration of mother's day. If you have felt board you can easily used and sing the nursery rhyme in the tune of "BINGO". However, if felt board is not available you can still use by placing them into your dress as you sing the nursery rhyme.

MOMMY
(Bingo)

I have a very cool friend
And Mommy is her name-O
M O M M Y
M O M M Y
M O M M Y
And Mommy is her name-O

(Follow the sequence/tune like BINGO)

My children loves to sing this improvise nursery rhyme and I am sure the other children too. The felt story will actually help the children to show their love for their mother. They will also learn the perfect nursery rhyme intended for their mother and they will appreciate more how the mother is important for them, not only being a mom but mommy can be their best friend too.

Materials I used for making MOMMY FELT STORY
·                  felt sheets of different colors
·                  glue gun
·                  pattern for mommy
·                  needle and thread
·                  googly eyes
Note: for the mommy pattern I draw it first and then I cut it together with the felt sheets. If someone is interested you can search online a mommy pattern or you can use even the mommy clip arts.

Mango Cheese Cake for Baptism

July 5, 2014 was the baptism of my baby Angelo. This cake I made for him as the second baptism cake for one of my friend (Gerasil) made a Dolphin baptism cake.  The theme of the party was dolphin that's why I asked my friend to make me a cake that has a dolphin cake topper.

In my part, I made the cheese cake with mango on top in a cross form with royal icing white rose and rosette on the side. Cheese cake is my son's favorite so I baked it for him.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day.

Parent and me convo today:
Parent: did you do something different?
Me: what do you mean?
Parent: you look so different.
Me: like what?
Parent: you look so beautiful.
Me: really? Thank you.

Hahahha, bisan ilad RA diay to. Mitoo pod, lanay dayon ag atay. Pastilan...
( Laughing... even I know it was not true)

This was just another compliment so far since I cut my hair and fix myself up. What I mean is, putting a little bit of lipstick and foundation when going to work, I really did not expect people will noticed it.

Well thanks to those who noticed my looks, really appreciated.

Five Green Speckled Frogs

6:58 pm 0 Comments
My baby's favorite felt story and rhyme. This felt story is one of my handmade creations "Arts & Crafts". Obviously the "Five Green Speckled felt story and his rhyme teaches basic mathematics from 1 to 5 and subtraction from 5 to 1. It enhances the children's also rhythm and recognition of the numbers.

Children will never get bored, when you introduce this simple but wonderful felt story. This can also be used for transition.

Five Green and Speckled Frogs

Five green and speckled frogs
Sat on the mossy logs
Eating the most delicious bugs
Yum! Yum!
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Now there are four green speckled frogs.
(continue the rhyme until no more frogs)
Note: If anyone wants to know how to make this felt story just leave me a message on the comments below. Thank you!

Father - Daughter Relationship

5:25 am 0 Comments
FAMILY RELATIONSHIP - Family relationship is the most important for every individual on earth. However, family conflicts hinder everything, such as jealousy and other unknown problems, particularly the relationship between the father and the daughter, mother and son, etc., but the love is still there no matter what. When I read the articles about father and daughter relationship, I cried just before the class was started but I managed to go to the bathroom to calm myself down. I intended not to make this article but I changed my mind to prove myself that I had passed through all the sorrows and mourning, as well as acceptance that one of the most important person in my life has gone forever. It took a lot of courage to write this assignment, even though it tore my heart apart.

MY FATHER IS MY IDOL - My father had passed away about a year now (the date when I wrote this, now it is about 5 years). Nevertheless, I remember exactly who he was. Furthermore, I love my father as I love myself and I idolized him when I was young and perhaps even now. He protected me from bullies, including my brothers as well as from my mother’s punishment when I made mistakes. I became a spoiled brat however I made sure that I was good in school to make him happy too. I obtained first honors from grades 2 to 4, but he never came to my commencement exercises once, which made me confused. Due to our poor living conditions, my father and my mother decided to go to the other city to find work, and because of this we rarely saw each other. My brother and I stayed home and continued our lives as happy normal kids. Once or twice a month, they would come home to bring food and pay school fees, etc. I struggled a lot in my school when I was in grade 5 because I went to a different school and maybe because most of the time, I didn’t have food to eat. I was just very thankful to my teacher who was very supportive and understood my situation so that sometimes she would bring extra food for me. So much for that, I became third honors but only especial award when I graduated in grade 6.
VERY CONFUSED - In connection with this event, my heart dropped-out for nobody attended my graduation. I saw happy faces of my co-graduates with their parents except me which made me wish and hope for I would vanish forever at that time. After what had happened, I tried to ignore and forget everything and start a new life in high school. I devoted my time to study more and maintained my rank as a number two in academic and rank one in extra-curricular activities. I really thought that, the reason why nobody showed up to my graduation was that, I was not an honors student.
Then, my trouble begun when I was in second year high school. It was our festival. Dancing until midnight was one of the highlights of the event and of course I was there together with my friends. My mother showed up and asked me to go home. What I didn’t know was that, my father followed her. Even I knew that it was still early, I said goodbye to my friends and stepped outside the dancing hall when my father grabbed my hair, kicked my legs and gave me a strong slap on my face in front of my friends and many people. I stumbled down. I was so shocked. For the first time of my life, my father hit me like that for no reason. My life continued as normal, every time the school had events at night, I was not able to attend. Even to go out with my friends I was not allowed. There were so many big “NO'S” when it came to me otherwise he would reward me with a slap.

Image result for father daughter relationship clip artsBATTERED DAUGHTER? I DON’T CONSIDERED AS SUCH - On the other hand, I still did great in school despite the fact that my neighbor and friends labelled me as a battered daughter but I didn’t consider it as such. Yes he did hit me, maybe once or twice every two months? I truly believed that it was not his intention to hurt me, it just happened, that was why I just laughed or maybe I’m just used to it. I love my father so much. I remember when my teacher asked me to cover and made a write about the “Enter High school Sports Tournament” as my project and practice for editorial writing contest and cartooning, it was fun indeed! However, on the way home, in front of many people, I saw him with an angry face. I composed myself not to feel nervous at the same time, my mother, brothers and the people looked worried. I looked at them one by one and smiled. I went straight to the direction of my father prepared for his action without knowing that it was not his hand who hit me but it was a piece of guava tree branch. I received the hit so many times with my body, legs, thighs and arms which made my body decorated with bruises for a couple of days. His actions continued until I graduated from college but I didn’t feel any madness towards him because I believed that someday, he would realized that what he did to me was wrong. Two years after from my graduation, I was settled to work as a high school teacher in our town. I thought that everything is fine but the history repeat.

TROUBLE MIND - I was totally confused and wanted a battle but I couldn’t. There was no courage in me to do against him. He was my father likewise I also wanted to give him a message that was enough. Until now, I still have this question why? Under those circumstances, I decided to apply to be a caregiver so that I could be away from him before my heart would stop loving him. Everything was a success, I flew to Canada with mixed emotions, I was very happy because I will have my freedom and nobody can hurt me at the same time sad because I will be away from my family and friends and the work that I love. In the long run, I still made myself believed that I am strong despite of the circumstances that I experienced which were worse than I ever expected. There were times that, I wanted to come home but I admit I am scared, so scared! Until last year, last time I spoke to him on the phone and he said he was happy, proud and prepared to die for God blessed him with loving children.

YOU'RE ALWAYS IN MY HEART FATHER - If I can only bring back the time. I will be at your side until your last breath. For all the things that had happened between me and my father, the love is so strong. I don’t feel any grudges instead I have regrets why I did not give my time to care for him while he was very sick. I will forever regret and ask for forgiveness. Eight years we haven’t seen each other and now it is forever. I love you father, you may rest in peace!

Color Recognition - Blue

5:04 am 0 Comments
Teaching children about color recognition
Image result for color blueis a must at early age. They need to learn the basic information regarding colors because these will be the best for them to describe so many things around them.

Knowing and understanding colors at early age, we now know that children are ready to explore more the world around them on their own way. When the children starts naming colors without telling them what color it is, the children starts using their descriptive language and creativity which is good because their cognitive skill is highly develop.
